There are a million different lists I want to make for the rest of my life, places to visit, foods to eat, books to read - I could make a list of lists if I really thought about it. But this isn't about my personal goals, (although I do want to bench press my body weight by the time I reach 40 - three years and one month.....I'll keep you posted), it's about being a better writer. It's about writing outside of the genres I know, about reading and researching and not being afraid to put it all down. It's about writing like Ray Bradbury because I think he is the best.
It's about being a writer, period.
And because reading about writing can be boring sometimes, it's also about the bench press and the books I'm reviewing and the food I'm cooking and the world outside my window.
And there will be Ray, lots of Ray short stories, lots of Ray essays. Lots of understanding what makes a good writer better. I might even try to change the world.
