Over at the Syntax of Things they have done a truly marvelous end-of-the-year list - rather than best books, favorite books, all those books you've heard of a zillion times already (Time magazine do you hear me?!), they have compiled a list of underrated authors. The list comes from several sources around the net and is first rate. I recognize several names (points for me!) but I've only read one: Poppy Z. Brite. So I know what my task is for the future and what you should be doing too - read an Underrated Author!!!!
