Jane Yolen is one of my all time favorite writers - Briar Rose is simply a life changing book, and I don't say that lightly. I've been reading her journal for quite some time and finding the entries lately about her husband David's illness to be both sad and so deeply good - so life affirming, that they have been hard to miss.
But then this, today, is the entry none of us wanted to read.
She asks that we keep them all in our hearts and I wonder, how could we not after reading about this lovely family. How could we not keep all of them in our hearts?
