If you want a peek at my AK flying novel, take a look at the brand new issue of failbetter magazine. They are running a short story excerpt, "Our Missing Airman". Although it is certainly a fictional story, the parts chronicling what happened to pilot Russ Merrill in 1929 are all true - and really came word from word from newspapers at that time. He just disappeared one day, and no one ever knew for sure what happened to him.
Sometimes the world can just swallow somebody, airplane and all.
