(And yes the designer is none other than Craig Mod who did the beauty that is my site.) I should have a review copy soon and I'm really looking forward to it. Jason Berry is such a good writer - here's what he had to say the other day in the Dallas Morning News about the doctor and nurses charged with murder in the wake of Katrina. (And coming from someone whose father was wholly dependent upon morphine and bedridden for the last pain-filled weeks of his life - I couldn't agree more with what Jason has to say.)

And Ken Roberts has been blogging at Powells all week about the dogs that found him, the book he wrote about them and living in the city. He's pretty funny - I love this whole rotating blogger thing Powells does. It's such a great way to "get to know" a writer.
My review of Sara Gran's Come Closer should be up at the Voices of NOLA soon - I was so behind on this!! Great book though, very creepy in the best kind of way. And she had some lovely things to say about living in the city. She's working on a book set in NOLA right now.
Finally, go read Poppy's site just because you should. Everyone should. (Also read what Jenny D had to say about her latest book, Soul Kitchen. My review copy is yelling at me to get on it. Must read, must write.....)
