I'm a ridiculous U2 fan - always have been (thanks to my high school boyfriend, Dan) and I like the fact that they are a political band. I think that's one of the best things about music, that it can send a message on so many levels and connect with fans who might not normally even think about political things.
Plus I happen to think politics goes down much easier when you can jam to it.
