I have a new review up at the Voices of NOLA - In the Wake of Katrina. It's a collection of photographs taken by Larry Towell who was sent to the Gulf Coast on assignment by Outside. Along with Towell's start and staggering black and white pictures, novelist Ace Atkins (who wrote the Outside article) provides a moving essay about returning to the same places six months later. I don't often write this, but this was an important book - a significant book. Take a look and see what you think.
