Reading that article left me in tears. Thank god for rescue organizations like those mentioned in the article. I can't even imagine the pain, terror, and abuse these dogs experienced every day of their lives.

It amazes me that people can be this cruel to another living creature - although after reading about the women suspected of having Down's Syndrome who were turned into suicide bombers last week in Iraq, I shouldn't be surprised by anything anymore.
You guys need to watch the show "Dogtown" on the Nat Geo channel - they are going to run new episodes the summer that will include the Vick dogs.

The people who fought for the rights of those dogs - the right to live and to be with people who would take care of them - those people are heroes. They saved lives.
