I forgot to mention that I did survive Week #1 of the "Couch potato to 5K" plan. It was not pretty. I ran around my neighborhood with the dog - literally - nipping at my heels and the boy on the scooter yelling "I can't stop this thing" every time he thought I needed some extra pressure.
Also my husband occasionally biked up to ask if I was going to die. (This might have been more from fear of the dog and the boy then my own struggle.)
I do so love my family.
Week #2 starts on Tuesday. I do feel compelled to mention that I can still bench press a non embarrassing amount, if only so you won't all think I'm a total slug. (And also because I deeply value anything that makes me feel the slightest bit impressive at this low low moment.)
