All you need to know is that:
1. I'm still alive.
2. The weather in Florida is lovely.
3. Harry Potter at Universal is as fabulous as you think it is (if not more).
4. It was really really hard to be an astronaut in the 1960s (according to the Kennedy Space Center anyway).
5. Sarah Vowell's latest is perfect vacation reading. (Or anytime reading for that matter.)
6. Emily Wing Smith has made me fall in love with her all over again.
7. Looking for shells during high tide is frustrating. (According to my son who sees a perfect shell but has to watch it be washed away before he grabs it.) (We are hitting the beach at much lower tides starting tomorrow.)
8. A ten dolphin day while out on the boat is awesome.
9. So is catching 8 fish off the dock in less than an hour. (We threw them all back but still....)
10. The Guys Lit Wire Book Fair is still a go for the end of the month. It will feature one school located in Washington D.C. I hope everyone is ready to contribute a title or two from the wish list because this story is going to break your hearts.
11. More soon on my book (talking to editor today), Zora Neale Hurston, a vanquished dragon, a haunted library, my family's photos and the two killer tattoos I am now sporting on my wrists. I can't believe I did it either but they rock in every way imagineable. Seriously!

Let me know how to contribute to the school in DC. This is something I must have missed in earlier posts.
I really want to go to Harry Potter Universal
